Camps could be day or overnight, combo or single subjects, and one or multiple weeks long. Our location is 1 block from the RiverLINE light rail train along which many museums and historical sites are within walking distance of the stops. Our urban conference center includes wheelchair accessibility, A/C and Wi-Fi. For new camps, rather than charge our rental fees, we would take a cut of the registrations. And, we have marketing, logistics and facilities staff to partner with you.
Per the American Camp Association:
- 43.82% of camps are overnight camps
- nearly 40% of overnight camps report their most popular sessions are between 2-4 weeks long
- more overnight camps report reaching 100% capacity (14%) as compared to day camps (4%)
- more overnight camps reported significantly higher enrollment in 2017 (11%) as compared to day camps (9%).
Urban Location, Tranquil Setting
We’re located in historic Burlington City, est. 1677, three blocks from the Delaware River and one block from the Burlington Towne Center RiverLINE rail stop. Our property was acquired in 1692, contains a room built in 1783, and although is situated along the main street in the heart of the City, it is set back from it, buffered by a brick wall, front lawn and covered porch, and nestled in a tranquil 1.58 acre space. The property has tens of trees over 50 feet tall. One, a sycamore, is 19′ 2″ in diameter. Lenape Chief Ockanickon is buried beneath it.
Facility, Amenities
Our facility comprises a hardwood floor dining/hall; commercial kitchen; 2-story, 7-room dormitory of 88 twin-sized beds (40 bunks, 8 singles); showers; colorful basement recreation and craft room; A/C; wheelchair accessibility; elevator; and parking for 230. It was built for overnight youth and family retreats. Amenities include chairs and tables; cookware and dinnerware; digital projector and screen; Wi-Fi; podiums, microphones and speakers; and dry erase boards.
Design the Programming
The RiverLINE travels north to Trenton or south to Camden with connections to Princeton and Philadelphia, making it possible for day trips north to the Roebling Museum, Old Barracks Museum, William Trent House, NJ State House, NJ State Museum and Planetarium, Waterfront Park (baseball), Grounds for Sculpture, Princeton University Art Museum, and Morven (former New Jersey Governor’s Mansion) and south to the Adventure Aquarium, Campbell’s Field (baseball), Camden Children’s Garden, Walt Whitman House, Liberty Bell, Independence National Historical Park, DOZENS of museums and events in Philadelphia and much, much more.
Other than using the RiverLINE, our urban location and conference amenities would suit camps for culinary arts, nutrition, wellness, or yoga; magic, movies, improv, or theatre; and coding, foreign languages, creative writing, or general arts, and a host of others.
Start a Camp Business
New camps at the Center would be an entrepreneurial pursuit for both parties. Rather than the Center asking for its full rental fees from the new camps, it would take a percentage of the registrations. Both parties would have incentive to make the camps successful. The more successful the camps, the more both parties earn.

In addition to our facilities, we can offer new camps research for programming and marketing, graphic design for advertising, ad placement, online registration and payments, background checks for counselors or volunteers, cooks or caterers, group discounts from the RiverLINE and venues, assistance from local officials, and emergency maintenance of our facility.
