By Daniel A. Okrent — We had a large group of people (mostly adults, some children) who were on a paddling trip on the Delaware River. This was the last night of our 8-day trip. I wish we could have stayed for four nights! The place is immaculate–cleaner than most private homes–and air conditioned throughout. The mattresses on the bunk beds were firm and comfortable–not saggy. There were also some single beds for the older crowd. The bathrooms and showers were great–plenty of hot water, good water pressure, and long vanities for your toiletries. It’s an elevator building, so no stair climbing with baggage. The main hall is very spacious, with high-quality wood flooring. The kitchen is commercial-grade and equipped for quantity food production if you need it. The downtown location is near many shops and restaurants, and it’s also a short walk from the River Line (light rail), although most of us drove there in private cars. Parking in the public lot across the street was ample and safe. The place is only available to groups, but nicer dorm-type accommodations than this do not exist.
