The Burlington Quakers have a long connection with the Delaware River.
Our logo comprises:
- 1677, the year in which the Quakers who sailed from England on the ship Kent landed in (Burlington City) and that Burlington City was founded
- the Q from our logo, in blue, oriented regularly, flipped and rotated, to represent
- the Delaware River flowing around Burlington Island and arching to the west as it passes Burlington City
- The Assiscunk Creek veering off to the southeast near the southern tip of Burlington Island
- A leaf from the 400-year-old American Sycamore tree in our backyard, as background
We are located 3 blocks from the Delaware River and to the south of Assiscunk Creek.
