We just had our wedding here in the Meeting House and Ockanickon Room. The guests liked the ease of parking and that the ceremony and reception were in the same building. The courtyard was beautiful and goes right into the Meeting House so I was able to have a bagpiper play in the courtyard as I walked down the aisle. The price for the wedding was incredible, we paid for an extra hour, the use of the full kitchen, (which is huge and industrial), we also paid to set up the night before and for them to clean up. With all the extra requests we had and all the extra time it was still incredibly affordable. I loved that I didn’t have to choose a venue that made me use their baker and caterer. We chose our food and our favorite bakery. We were able to buy beer and wine cheaply and serve it via bartender. We saved heaps of money doing the wedding here and people loved the history that resonates from this place. You don’t have to be a Quaker, Quaker’s are incredibly accepting of everyone and this makes it great if you have a lot of guests that are different religions, or do not have religion. Everyone felt comfortable and welcome. Thanks again to the Burlington Meetinghouse, it meant a lot to us. — Laurie V.
