Way back in 1996, the Berry Basket Quilter’s Guild were looking for a venue to hold a Quilt Retreat. They looked at several venues, but none suited their needs – either too expensive or not a room that they could secure to protect their sewing machines, etc. Then a member who was the manager at the Burlington Meeting House at the time, suggested the facility. It worked out very well for us as we have been coming back since. Having the use of the Kitchen is a big plus. We have our favorite Chef who comes back every year to cater for us. We have plenty of beds & bathrooms for our use. Second & third floor dorms are easy to access by elevator, stairs as well. Plenty of room to spread out also, in the large common room to sit n sew !! We are usually 24-30 Ladies. We love the Meeting House, it is perfect for our needs, & we will continue to come back !! — Helen F.
